Fashioned to evoke Victorian-esque boudoirs, the stores were designed to create an inviting environment, replete with ornate Victorian detailing, warm neutral colours, and rich wood-paneled walls. Victorian era design ideals assign a strong importance to order and ornamentation, whereby public and private spaces are kept separate and bare quarters were in violation of the unspoken rules of good taste.
